Kenyon's has been welcoming visitors from across the nation for decades. We love private groups because it allows us the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations, answer questions and show our proud culinary renaissance, heritage and tradition with a personal touch. Tours include cooking demonstrations and culinary history aside our scenic, waterfront setting. We provide a sampling of Rhode Island Johnny Cakes, a full and narrated tour of the mill and grinding process, and locally roasted coffee (Kenyon’s Old-Fashioned Corn Muffins upon request). Visit the Mill’s Country Store where local crafts and a variety of fresh ground, Kenyon products abound. Tours are approximately 1 to 1-1/2 hours. 2012 Annual Johnny Cake Festival - October 20 & 21
On October 20 & 21, bring your group to experience Rhode Island's Harvest at its best! This is one fun-filled, culinary stop not to be missed. Guests can visit with over 75 local businesses including area farms, artisans & restaurants. Enjoy seasonal food and beverages, watch a variety of old-world demonstrations, listen to live music, learn about Rhode Island's history and relax by the scenic Queen's River & Waterfall. During this special weekend, get a free, narrated tour of the mill, and enjoy an abundance of samples including Johnny Cakes, coffee, wine & more! Admission is only $2 per person. If you have 40 people or more, your group will get special VIP service and a greeting from the family at Kenyon's. Vehicle parking is free at the Washington County Fairgrounds, only minutes away. Individuals, Small Groups and Walk-ins
All of our customers are very important to us! In order to get our orders out on time, we are very focused on production and office duties Monday through Friday, making it nearly impossible to give an unscheduled tour. Production does not usually run on weekends. Please respect that we are a small business with limited & dedicated employees. Our shop is open year-round Monday through Friday and weekends April to December. For those interested in tours, we encourage all guests to attend our Spring Tour Weekend on May 19 & 20, our Summer Tour Weekend on July 21 & 22, and the Harvest/Johnny Cake Festival on October 20 & 21. We’ve created these events to dedicate a time to open our doors to the public with free tours, Johnny Cakes, and a whole lot more! With ample time, we may be able to schedule a private tour.
