Coffee milk is the official drink of Rhode Island! You might have trouble finding it outside the Ocean State. We have been acquainted with it as a child...in our school's cafeteria or at home. Just like chocolate syrup, we use it to make a coffee shake or pour over ice cream. As grown-ups, we even use it with alcohol.
The folks at Dave's Coffee in Charlestown, RI know how to make a craft-roasted cup o' joe. They selected a superb Brazilian bean, specifically for this syrup. It has a nutty, sweet, smooth, and roasted with its natural, smoky goodness. The finished roast then rests for two days. After resting the coffee is ground and cold brewed for 18 hours in our modified stainless steel kettle.
Finally, the cold brewed coffee is drained and combined with pure cane sugar. The mixture of coffee and sugar is brought to a boil and simmers for over an hour. During this time the syrup reduces and the sugar begins to caramelize. When the syrup reaches the perfect consistency, it is hot bottled into our signature amber glass bottles.
